Eloise Helm, 89, Oblong, Illinois went to be with her Lord on Friday, March 29, 2013, at the Heartland Nursing Center, Casey, Illinois and she will be reunited with loved ones that have gone on before.
Eloise was born in Crawford County, Indiana on October 21, 1923, to Luther Jones and Ilene (Benham) Jones. Eloise married Bernard Lee Helm on August 17, 1951, and he preceded her in death on December 5, 2003.
Eloise was a homemaker. She was a long time member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church in Oblong. She also enjoyed crocheting, making doilies, purses, making bread for many people and was a wonderful cook, especially her deep fried chicken. Most of all she loved her family.
Eloise is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Myron & Becky Helm and Wesley & Linda Helm; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin Jones, Mervin & Mary Jones and Steve and Karen Jones; two sisters, Rosemary Luff and Charlene Smith; a brother-in-law, Bob Belcher and several nieces and nephews.
Eloise was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Vera Deno and Namoi Belcher; a granddaughter, Misty Helm and two brothers-in-law, Ferris Luff and Ralph Smith.
Rev. Paul Gray will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
