Vicky L. Kenfield, 54, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 9:23 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at her residence. Born in Vincennes, Indiana on December 14, 1956, she was the daughter Basil Carl Phipps and Patricia (White) Phipps. She was a CNA for home health and several area nursing homes; also owner & operator of Vicky’s Daycare in Oblong from 1997-2003. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Oblong, Illinois where she helped with the Angel Food Ministries Program and attended Ladies Fellowship. She enjoyed playing computer games and spending time with her grandchildren.
Vicky is survivied by one son and daughter-in-law, Shane & Rachel Meeks; two daughters and son-in-law, Misti Meeks and Christi & Jerry Pritchard Jr.; six grandchildren, Christina Meeks, Alera Meeks, Sabrina Huddlestun, Nakeya Pritchard, Shane Meeks II and Lonnie Eagleson III; one brother, Larry Phipps; one sister and brother-in-law, Karla & Don Smith and several nieces and nephews.
Vicky was preceded in death by her parents: Carl & Pat Phipps; one brother, Roger Phipps; a grandson, Christian VanMatre and twin grandchildren, Jackson & Della Eagleson.
Bro. Dee Wolfe will officiate the memorial service. A private family burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
