Visitation: 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the church

Burial will be in Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong. IL

Rev. Michael L. Kesling, 65, Robinson, Illinois went to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 21, 2012 at his residence with his family surrounding him. Born in Middleton, Ohio on March 6, 1947, he was the son of William F. Kesling and Josephine (Clark) Kesling. Mike was a minister for over 40 years, serving as minister to nine churches of the Nazarene faith and three United Methodist Charges for twenty years. Mike attended Robinson Free Methodist Church; member of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference: former member of the Robinson Kiwanis Club and Robinson Ministerial Alliance; while living in Strasburg, Illinois, Mike served as Town Trustee for three years and was a member of the Strasburg Lions Club. Mike loved to play the piano and violin, singing the church choirs but most all he like serving others.

On December 30, 1966, Mike married Anita E. Ramey, who survives. Also serviving are two sons and daughters-in-laws, Michael L. and Sara Kesling II and Rayme W. and Amber Kesling; two daughters, Zella “Cathy” Wood and Susan F. Turner; eight grandchildren, Michiala N. Turner, Allyson S. Turner, Joz-Lynn M. Popplewell/ Kesling, Christopher R. Kesling, Michael J. Kesling, Daron and Rhonda Turner, Derek and Jennifer Turner and Devin Turner; one brother Randolph Kesling; two sisters and a son-in-law, Billie Jo Lewis and Pamela Sue and Gerald Fornshell; several nieces and nephews as well as Jason, Sammy, Isabella and Addison who were very special to PAPA Mike. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Rev. Adam Conder, Rev. Duane Ambrose and Rev, Larry Hopkins will be officiating the Celebration of Mike’s Life.
