THERE WILL BE NO VISITATION.

BURIAL OF NORMA’S REMAINS will be in the Waggoner Cemetery near Chauncey, IL.  It was Norma’s wish to be cremated and cremation rites have been accorded.  A private family Celebration of Norma’s life service will be held.

EXPRESSIONS OF SYMPATHY:  May take the form of a contribution to the Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice with memorials mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home, PO Box 121, Oblong, IL  62449.

Norma Louise Dart, 88, Oblong, IL passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.

Norma was born on January 8, 1927 in Crawford County, IL near Oblong, IL.  She was the daughter of Guy Taylor and Ethel (Shaw) Taylor.  She married Harold B. Allen on July 4 1943 and he passed away on January 17, 2005; she married Bobby Joe Brown in 1973 and he passed away in 1986; she married George T. Thompson in 1998 and he passed away on February 2, 2002; and she then married Kenneth L. Dart on July 18, 2003 and he passed away on March 11, 2011.

Norma was the manager for Allen Furniture Store in Oblong, IL for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oblong.  Norma loved the time with her children; Norma’s family was everything to her.

Norma is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Glenda Allen of Oblong, IL, Bart and Tammy Allen of Panama City Beach, FL.; and Todd Allen of Olney, IL; two daughters and a son-in-law Connie and Steve Ames and Judy Phillippe of Oblong, IL; nine grandchildren and spouses: Stacey Shaw and fiance’ Clarence Clark, Troy and Kim Allen, Chanda and Brad Murray, Jeremy Johnson, Reggie and Jackie Johnson, Abbey and Shane Van Gundy, Jordan Allen, Justin Allen and Brandon Allen; six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law Marge and Ralph Akins of rural Oblong, IL.

Preceding Norma in death were her parents; four husbands; one brother Artie Taylor; five sisters Nina Brunson, twins sisters Allene Black and Pauline Taylor, Lois McKimmey and Joanne Good; a half brother Russell Westall and a half sister Reva Brownfield.
