Celebration of Marty’s Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday December 2, 2017 at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be in Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, IL at a later date.
Visitation will be from 9:30am to 11:00am on Saturday December 2, 2017 at the funeral home.

Martha Ann “Marty” Attaway 91, of Robinson, IL passed away on Sunday November 19, 2017 at the Magnolia Center in Robinson, IL.
Marty was born on October 2, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa to Rothard R. Carlson and Nancy J. (Hagan) Carlson. On February 2, 1947 she married Lloyd G. “Bud” Attaway who preceded her in death on November 9, 2007.
Marty was a chorus and elementary school teacher for 28 years in the Robinson Community Unit 2 School District. She graduated from Knoxville, IL High School in 1944. Marty received her Bachelor’s degree from Millikin University in 1948 and her Master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1975. Marty was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Robinson, IL; A.A.U.W in Robinson, IL; PEO Chapter KS in Oblong, IL then transferred to Chapter IG in Robinson, IL; 20th Century Club; Red Hat( Mad Hatter); Birthday Club; Wednesday Bridge Club; Ladies Golf League at QCCC Robinson, IL; SIGMA ALPHA IOTA. She also served many offices in the Crawford County Retired Teachers Association.
Marty is survived by a son and daughter –in-law Tim and Jane Attaway, Oblong,IL; two daughters and son-in-law Nancy Attaway, Robinson, IL, Ann and John Linehan, Western Springs, IL; six grandchildren Daniel and Nicole Attaway, Caseyville, IL, John and Jane Attaway, Germantown, IL, Courtney and Travis Kipper, Western Springs, IL, Claire and Mark Peterson, Downers Grove,IL, Cara and Colin Clapper, Chicago, IL and Jack Linehan Chicago, IL; seven great grandchildren Cale Attaway, Altona, IL, Logan Attaway, Anthony Attaway, Sarah K. Attaway, Germantown, IL, Kaden Attaway and Ainsley Attaway, Caseyville, IL and Emma Peterson, Downers Grove, IL. She is also survived by two nieces Christina Raymond, Green Valley, AZ and Bobbie J. Linkogel, St. Louis, MO.
Marty was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister Mary C. Nonamaker.
