GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL. with Bro. Dee Wolfe officiating.  Music for graveside service “When the Storm Passes By” sung by Bro. Dee Wolfe and “I Will Rise” sung by Kayla Weaver.

THE FAMILY REQUEST IN LIEU OF FLOWERS an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Oblong Children’s Christian Home with envelopes at the graveside service or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home, PO Box 121, Oblong, IL.

Jimmy Dean Hill, 79, of Oblong, IL passed away at 9:22 a.m. CST on June 2, 2015 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.

Jimmy was born on September 23, 1935 in Oblong, IL and was the son of Roy E. Hill and Edna (Lorance) Hill.  On August 16, 1958 he married Sara Maurine Stauter.

Jimmy was retired from Marathon Oil Refinery in Robinson, IL.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Oblong, IL.  He was also on the board of Oblong Children’s Christian Home for several years.  His hobbies were hunting and four wheeling.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Maurine Hill of Oblong, IL; three sons and daughters-in-law Steve and Terri Hill of Sparta, IL, Jeff and Mandy Hill of Oblong, IL and Tim and Annette Hill of Salem, MO.; seven grandchildren Jay and Alyssa Hill of Belleville, IL, Matt Hill of Belleville, IL; Jason Hill of Oblong, IL; Kayla and Lance Weaver of Oblong, IL, Haley and Jake Arzt of Rogersville, MO; Anndy Hill of Salem, MO and Jesse Hill of Salem, MO; one great granddaughter Joetta Hill of Belleville, IL; two half brothers Tom and Laura Hill of Oblong, IL and Bill and Barb Hill of Oblong, IL; one half sister Trudy and Jay Seaney of West York, IL and one step-sister Virginia and Kermit Gaither of Hammond, IN.

Preceding Jimmy is death were his parents and his sister Mary Pittman.

Pulliam Funeral Home, Oblong, IL in charge of arrangements.
