Jessie J. Neeley, 91, Claremont, Illinois passed away at 5:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at Burgin Manor, Olney, Illinois. Born in Ste. Marie Township, Jasper County, Illinois on December 19, 1919, she was the daughter of Charles “Bert” Burton Brownfield and Minnie (Lough) Brownfield. Jessie graduated from Oblong High School ~ Class of 1937. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Hobbies included canning, sewing, gardening and crocheting.
On July 15, 1942, she married Norman D. Neeley, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dean Neeley and Kevin & Aracely Neeley; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth & Steve Gall; two grandsons, Zachary & Brennan Neeley and two nephews Barry Gowin and Jere Gowin. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Rev. Howard Bell will officiate the funeral service with burial in Berlin Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois
