Irene Crowell, 87, Robinson, Illinois passed away at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at the Long Term Care Unit, Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois.
Born near Bryant, Jay County, Indiana on November 3, 1925, she was the daughter of Walter B. Crowell and Mary Louella (Bowler) Crowell. She was employed with Ettlebrick Shoe Factory and later for Victor Dana, Robinson, Illinois. She was a member of the Oblong First Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano and played many years at the church.
Irene is survived by a very special niece, Claudia & K Kim Osmus; cousins, Madalene White, June Bowler, Cline & Sue Bowler and Beverly Nordyke.
Preceding Irene in death were her parents; one brother, Wendell Dale Crowell; two sisters, Lela Mae Wood and Jeanette M. Crowell; and two cousins, Bud Bowler and Bob Nordyke.
Pastor Rusty Morecraft will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
