At Florence’s request, she is being returned to her hometown to be reunited with her family. There will be a Graveside Service at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois with Brother Dee Wolfe officiating.

Florence Louise Carroll, 84, Weston, West Virginia and formerly of Robinson, Illinois passed away at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew following an extended illness.
Born on December 2, 1928 in Carmi, Illinois she was the daughter of the late Clyde Marshall King and Florence R. Brockett.
On June 9, 1949, she married Ralph W. Carroll and they enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his passing on March 13, 2009.
She is survived by one son, John Caroll and wife Debbie of Weston, WV and one grandson, Shawn Carroll of Fairmont, WV.
She is the last last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by six brothers: Kenneth Marshall King, James King, John D. King, Clyde Marshall King Jr., William Lynn King and Wayne King and five sisters, Mary Lucille Chilton, Earline Grizzell, Jean Graddy, Marion Pilecki and Emily Dorris Harris.
Florence loved to crochet afghan blankets and was a loving grandmother and mother. She was a devoted member of the Ladies Group at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Weston.
