A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be Monday September 17, 2018 at 1:00P.M. at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL with Bro. Mike Root officiating. Burial will follow in the Oblong Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of Service.

Edward L. “Ed” Catt, 91, Oblong, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at his daughter Lisa Tarpley home in Olney, IL.
He was born on April 20, 1927 in Martin Township Crawford County, IL. He was the son of Albert William “A.W.” Catt and Edna (Ferguson) Catt. On December 10, 1945 he married Francis Morrison who preceded him in death on August 12, 1993. He later married Norma Jean Van Winkle who survives.
Ed was a heavy equipment operator and worked for the Illinois Department of Transportation retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Robinson High School Class of 1945, Oblong Wesleyan Church which is now known as the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church of Oblong. Ed enjoyed working in is flower and rose gardens. He loved to tinker with anything and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He enjoyed reading westerns and riding around Oblong in his golf cart with Jean. Ed loved his Lord and Savior, reading the bible and spreading the word of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife Jean Catt, Oblong, IL; one son and two daughters-in-law Roger Leon and Nancy Catt, Littleton, CO and Pam Catt , Terre Haute, IN; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Rick Tarpley, Olney, IL; two stepsons Doug and Dana Sprague, Robinson, IL and Mike and Terri Sprague, Gosport, IN; Step Daughter Diane Sprague, Olney, IL; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 6 great- great – grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Ed in death are his parents; first wife; two sons Richard Warren Catt and Kenneth Wayne Catt as well as two brothers Carl Catt and Gene Catt.
