Donald L. Brough, 78, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 14, 2012. He was born on August 10, 1934 in Willow Hill, Illinois and was the son of Victor and Elsie M. (Richardson) Brough.
Don was a Sunday school teacher for over 60 years at numerous churches in Illinois and Texas. Don also served as Deacon in churches in Robinson, Illinois, Palestine, Texas and Texas City, Texas. Don retired from Marathon Oil Company after working 31 years in the lab.
He is survived by Loretta Brough his wife of 56 years; sister Janet Ruddell and husband Paul; sister-in-law Olivia Dennis; son Jay Brough and wife Debbie; daughter Lorilea Hazzard and husband Marc; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 17, 2012 in Texas City, Texas
