Carolyn F. Wiman, 68, rural Oblong, Illinois passed away at 8:40 P.M. Thursday, May 24, 2012, at her residence. Born in Crawford County, Illinois on May 16, 1944, she was the daughter of Millard E. Midgett and Helen E. (Walter) Midgett. She retired as a home health care for the elderly; dishwasher at the Hi-Way Cafe, Oblong, Illinois and housekeeper at Quail Creek Country Club, Robinson, Illinois. She attended White Oak Church, rural Oblong, Illinois. Carolyn enjoyed bowling and over the years she bowled for many teams; she enjoyed taking care of the elderly and children; especially her children and grandchildren.
On September 12, 1964, she married James Birch who preceded her in death. On July 17, 1983, she married Gary L. Wiman, who preceded her in death on October 12, 2011. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Brian Birch, 1981; a sister, Joyce Midgett and two brothers, Keith & Walter Midgett.
Carolyn is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, James Edward Birch and Richard Allen & Trudi Birch; three daughters and son-in-law, Sharon & Jeff Reynolds, Sherri Scott and Carolyn “Carri” Wiman; adopted son, Robert & Robyn Wiman Sr.; one step-daughter, Candace Aldolph; eighteen grandchildren, Diana Marie Le’Mar, Deidra Mary Le’Mar, Samantha Ruby Birch, Jeremy Lee Reynolds, Brianna Rakelle Reynolds, Jaxon Lee Reynolds, Dustin James Creachbaum, Amber Joleslie Birch, Levi James Scott, Dakota Allen Scott, Logan Kael Scott, Blake Aaron Huffman, one due in September 2012, Kimberly Adolph, Kodie Adolph, Melissa G. Wiman, Robert Wiman Jr., Christian S. Wiman and Matthew Wiman; two great-grandchildren, Jagger Bow Creachbaum and Blayde Tyler Stephens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert & Tina Midgett and David & Devera Midgett; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma & Don Thompson, Bonnie & Ronnie Finn and Rosalee & Ron Smith; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Connie & Jim Woodward and several nieces and nephews.
Bro. Jack Cunningham will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Berlin Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
