Carol J. Staffey, 75, of Oblong, IL passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Carol was born in Jasper County, Illinois near Newton on January 31, 1940 the daughter of Vernard Wilson ad Mary Audrey (Tipton) Wilson. She was a member of the Merrillville, IN High School Class of 1958. Carol was a CNA at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL for many years and most recently was a server for the Crawford County Senior Citizen’s Center in Oblong, IL for five years.
Carol is survived by her son Michel Staffey of Oblong, IL.; two grandchildren Alexis Staffey and Gabriel Staffey, both of Center Point, IN.; sister Deborah “Debi” Wilson of Oblong, IL.; brother-in-law Ed Siminski of French Lick, IN.; nephew Kevin and Jenny Siminski of Indianapolis, IN.; two great nieces Josie and Audrey Siminski of Indianapolis, IN.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Connie Siminski.
It was Carol’s wish to be cremated and cremation rites will be accorded.
