Betty Marie Siverly, 82, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois after a brief period of declining health.
Born September 26, 1930, in Frisco, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ralph Jenkins and Virginia (Lawson) Jenkins. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother. She retired in 2006 from the Oblong School District as a special education bus aide. Betty was a member of the Prior Grove Baptist Church, rural Oblong, Illinois.
On October 30, 1948, Betty married Dean Siverly, who preceded her in death on August 4, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Mark; twin daughters, Sharon and Karen at birth; a grandson, Randy Robinson; a great-grandson, Jake Rains and a brother, Jerry Jenkins. On December 23, 2006, Betty married Everett McCormick, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2012.
Betty is survived by her three daughters, Janice Robinson, Jane Lewis & companion Randy Plummer, Terry & Daryl Fisher; grandchildren, Melissa and Chris Cupp, Jamie and Tim Rains, Tyler and Ashley Akers, Derek Akers and Charlie Kuhn, several great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marcella and Sherman Bratcher and Karen and Jack McCammon; and her extended family Gary Woolverton, Rick and Beverly Woolverton and Myron Woolverton.
Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
