Ashley LouAnn Seigel, age 29, of Vandalia, IL passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Montgomery County, IL of injuries sustained in an accident.
Ashley was born September 11, 1986 in Vandalia, the daughter of Ira “Bud” and Cheryl (Garrard) Seigel. She grew up in Vandalia, graduating high school in 2005, and graduating from Kaskaskia College LPN Program in 2007. Ashley worked as a night LPN for Anchor Home Healthcare, a night LPN-PRN for Celtic Private Care, LPN at Vandalia Rehab and Healthcare Center, and was owner/operator of Whiskey Girl DJ since 2008. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Shoal Creek ABATE. Her true passion was to care for terminally ill children. She had a smile that would light up a room, and had a memorable loving and outgoing personality.
She is survived by her father and stepmother Bud and Sharon Seigel of Vandalia; mother Cheryl Seigel of Salem; step brother Thomas Bivens Jr of Centralia; step sisters Sharon Nicole Bivens of Salem and Bobbie Joleigh Ball of Alma; an uncle Craig Garrard of Hutsonville; an aunt Kathy Garrard of Vandalia; niece and nephew Claire Bivens and Chase Potter; cousins Justin Guyer of Hutsonville, Josh Guyer of Spencer, IN, Branna Ree Coker Kimbrough of Smithville, MS; second cousins Bradon and Abby Kat Kimbrough both of Smithville, MS; and several extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Calvin and Mary Giffin and John and Freda Rippy and aunt Harriet Coker.
