Orville E. Phillips, 88, Willow Hill, Illinois passed away at 10:01 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Born March 3, 1922, in Newton, Illinois he was the son of Charlie Phillips and Lillis (Riought) Phillips. He served in the U. S. Army during W. W. II. He was a hog farmer and worked for Kennedy's Feed Store in Newton for many years. Orville enjoyed going to sales and auctions.

On September 22, 1950, he married Virginia Lee Harper, who survives. Also surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Stanley Phillips and Bradley & Cathy Phillips; two granddaughters, Abby & Amanda Phillips; one sister, Mary Baughman; several nieces and nephews.

Orville is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rev. Robert "Bob" Phillips.
