Helen Montanya,  95, Robinson, Illinois, passed away Tuesday June 29, 2010, at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. She was born in rural Crawford County, Illinois near Robinson, Illinois on July 22, 1914 and was the daughter of John Luther Osborne and Martha Jane (Brubaker) Osborne. Helen worked at the Sugar Bowl restaurant in Robinson, Hi Way Café in Oblong, Barrs Bakery in Robinson, as well as did house cleaning for many years. Helen worked until the age of 74. She was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church, she sang for many years in the Hardinville Christian Church choir, member of the E. M. Coulter American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary, Robinson, IL. Helen enjoyed collecting dolls and was a life long resident of Oblong and Robinson.
 
Helen is survived by a son Jerry D. Montanya and companion Paula Leighty; a daughter and son-in-law Patsy Jo & Gene Good; eight grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; fourteen great- great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Hazel Osborne.
 
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers Frank, Charles, Pearly, William, Howard, and Herbert Osborne; a sister Pauline Kessler and a great granddaughter Tracy Good.
 
Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery
