Mac L. McCoy, 91, Oblong, Illinois, passed away on Friday night February 26, 2010 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong. Mac was born in Oblong, Illinois on August 1, 1918 and was the son of Quincy and Maud (Cain) McCoy. On May 12, 1940 he married Vivian E. Corbin who preceded him in death on April 11, 1997.  Mac was a farmer and owned and operated Mac McCoy Trucking for over 56 years. He was a United States Naval veteran serving during WWII. He was affiliated with the Oblong First Christian Church. Mac was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1956; Midwest Trucking Association: Oblong American Legion Post # 219 for over 70 years; member of the Coldfoot Campers; Oblong Antique Tractor & Engine Club and the Casey – Charleston CB Club years ago.
 
Mac is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Charlotte & Larry Sackrider; four
grandchildren  Christy & Doug Coulter, Rick Sackrider, Gena & Marty Elliott and Mark Sackrider; eight great grandchildren Caina & Mike wisdom, Darin & Stephanie Coulter, Cayla & Aaron Myers, Maude Coulter, Danielle Sackrider, Trenton Morgan, Zachary Elliott and Natallie Elliott; three great –great grandchildren Dalynn Wisdom, Bryonna Myers and Cali Myers; Rayetta & Waylon Stoker and special friend Frances Knoblett.
 
Mac is preceded in death by his parents; wife; one infant son Mac Leon McCoy and a great-great granddaughter Amada Myers.
 
Burial will be next to his wife Vivian in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
