Margaret M. Huddleston, 80, passed away at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2010, at her home in rural Oblong with her family at her bedside.  She was born March 8, 1930, in Grandville Township, Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Loren and Estalene Abraham.  She worked for the Jasper County School District for many years and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
 
Margaret married Elden Huddleston on September 15, 1948 and he survives.  She is also survived by two daughters, Marla Snow (George Dudak) and Jean Doran (David Doran), four granddaughters, Gabrielle and Mariah Steevens and Lisa and Alexis Snow, as well as four step-grandchildren, Travis and Sasha Snow, and Bryce and Miranda Doran and one step great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Heckler.
 
Also surviving is one sister, Joanne Howard and one brother, Larry Abraham, and several nieces and nephews and a very special caregiver Warren Snow.
 
Margaret was preceded in death by an infant daughter, one sister, Wilma Fischer and two brothers, James Abraham and Byrl Abraham.
 
Per Margaret’s request there will be cremation with no visitation and private family graveside services at a later date at Bethal Cemetery, Yale, Illinois.
 
Margaret was a 14 year fighter of breast cancer.  Per her wishes, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research with envelopes available at or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home, 302 East Main Street, Oblong, Illinois 62449.
