Rosalia J. “Rosie” Hoisington, 95, Oblong, IL passed away at 5:21 p.m. Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Heartland Christian Village, Neoga, IL.

 

   Born in Effingham, IL on January 14, 1915, she was the daughter of John Henry Quatman and Leona (Brumleve) Quatman. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Oblong.  She enjoyed collecting antiques.

   On November 28, 1945, in St. Louis, MO she married Bernard “Peely” Hoisington, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2005.  Also preceding her in death were her parents; 2 brothers, William “Bill” Quatman & Joseph “Bud” Quatman; 1 sister, Marcella Stockman; 2 brothers-in-law, Charles Stockman and Chuck Glaub and 1 sister-in-law, Christine Quatman.

   She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, John & Vicky Hoisington, and Bill Hoisington; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane & Tom Maxedon; four grandchildren, Sean Hoisington, Micah & Matthew Fraizer, Amanda Maxedon, and Brett Maxedon; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara & Roger “Butch” Worman, and Leona Glaub; a sister-in-law, Verenia Quatman and several nieces and nephews.

   Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
