James Donald "Donnie" Hill, 85, Oblong, IL passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at his residence. Born in Jasper County, IL on January 19, 1924, he was the son of James & Ellen Hill. He was a farm hand all his life. He was a member of the Oblong Tractor and Engine Association. His hobbies included catfishing; tinkering with his mowers and mowing.

Donnie is survived by his local family and care giver, Cristi & Randy Gaddis; one brother, Melvin Hill and cousin, Jack & Verna Mae Harmon.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Everett Hill; half brother, Fred Race; lifelong friends, Jack & Phyllis Wade and uncle and aunt, John & Rose Lanter who raised Donnie.

Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
