Leonard D. Hays, 84, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 2:05 a.m. Eastern Time, Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Born on May 12, 1926, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he was the son of Leonard Hays and Carrie (Martin) Hays. He attended Prior Grove Church, rural Oblong, Illinois.

Leonard is survived by two sisters, Helen Nelson & Martha Bernardi; and several nieces and nephews.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don & Jim Hays and a sister, Lillian Fancil.

Bro. Don Houdasheldt will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
