Thomas M. "Tom" Goble, 64, Hardinville, IL passed away at 7:10 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2010, at his residence in Hardinville, IL. Born in Richland County, IL on June 3, 1945, he was the son of Pearl Edgar Goble and Stella Mae Sparling. He served with the U. S. Army during Vietnam with the 2nd Battalion, 7th Artillery and 24th Infantry Division. He was employed with GTE Telephone Company in 1973 and retired as a splicer in 1995. After retirement he worked for Ron Waldrop Construction in Olney, IL. He attended Prior Grove Church, rural Oblong. He was a lifetime member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549. Tom enjoyed mowing, picking blackberrries, stock car racing, bowling, fishing, playing pool, and spending time with his grandkids, especially pulling them behind grandpa's "Go Buggy".

On March 21, 1985, he married Nancy Louise (Rich) Inboden, who survivies. Also surviving four sons and daughters-in-law, Rod & Chris Goble, Jayson & Jackie Goble, Maury Goble and David & Lori Goble; four step sons and step daughters-in-law, Charles & Lisa Inboden, David Inboden, Brian & Carol Inboden and Kevin & Amber Inboden; eleven grandchildren, Craig & Kari Goble, Andrew Goble, Erin Goble, Cera Goble, David Goble Jr., Jeffrey Goble, Jackson Goble, Daylan Inboden and Aleah Inboden, Hunter Inboden and Alexandrea Inboden; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene & Marilyn Goble, Jim & Carol Goble and Ron & Jennie Goble; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou & Walter Hundley and Selma Fransted; and several nieces and nephews.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, twins Thurman & Sherman Goble and Tony Goble; three sisters, Patricia, Clarie and Betty Goble; and one step son Danny Inboden.

Bro. Jeff Monroney will be officiating the funeral service. Per Tom's request cremation will follow the service.
