Marie B. Eslinger, 102, Antioch, IL. formerly of “The Bend Area” Jasper County, IL. passed away Saturday July 31, 2010 at the Westmoreland Nursing Center, Lake Forest, IL. Marie was born on August 22, 1907, in Sainte Marie, IL. She was the daughter of John Fisher and Bathilda (Burgund) Fisher. Marie was married to Earl Eslinger who preceded her in death in 1963. Also preceding her in death were her parents, husband, three brothers John, Albert and George Eslinger and two sisters Esther Moore and Geneieve Hill.

Marie was a homemaker, of the Catholic Faith, and she enjoyed gardening, baking pies and she started watercolor painting when she was 95. The loves of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law John & Pixie Eslinger; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be next to her husband Earl in the Oblong Cemetery.
