Mary S. Yoder, 84, rural Oblong, IL passed away at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2009, at her residence. Born on July 2, 1925, in Dover, Delaware she was the daughter of Simon Byler and Sarah (Bender) Byler. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.

On February 24, 1949, she married Leroy Yoder, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Freeman & Mary Yoder, Leslie & Lydia Yoder and Joe & Irene Yoder; eight daughters and sons-in-law, Alma & Eli Miller, Emma & David Miller, Martha & Jonas Miller, Rhoda & John Mast, Barbara & Daniel Miller, Erma & Emery Mast, Mary & Mahlon Mast and Freda & Eli Miller; 73 grandchilden; 127 great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Rudy & Lydia Byler and Mahlon S. & Fannie Byler; two sisters and brother-in-law, Alma & Henry Byler and Lydia Yoder; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; stillborn daughter; a 10 month old son, John Yoder; two brothers, Noah & Ervin Byler and two sisters, Barbara Byler and Emma Byler.

Burial will be in the Yoder's Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
