Stephen Cole Postlewait, 19, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 6:30 a.m. EDT Friday, August 21, 2009, from injuries sustained in a auto accident in Knox County, Indiana. Born March 10, 1990, in Olney, Illinois he was the son of Stephen Joe Postlewait and Rachel Lynn (Clark) Snider. He was a member of Oblong FFA and a graduate of Oblong High School ~ Class of 2008. Stephen was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 157 as a second year apprentice. He attended White Oak Church, rural Oblong. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, riding his Harley and 4-wheelers, building and driving demo derby cars and was a mechanic at his dad's shop in Willow Hill, Illinois. Stephen never knew a stranger, he loved everyone, was a hard worker and helped all. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Stephen Postlewait & Rachel Snider; step-parents, Greg Snider and Lisa Postlewait.; his mother and step-father, Rachel & Greg Snider; seven brothers and sisters, Aaron Postlewait, Jesse Clark, Dakota Clark, Harlei Postlewait, Katlin Snider, Savannah Yager-Postlewait and Dalton Postlewait; grandparents, Roy & Julie Clark, Keith & Joan Postlewait, and Russell & Nancy Snider; several aunts, uncles and cousins; two nieces, Miranda Campbell and Avery Postlewait.

Stephen is preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Leon & Violet Postlewait, Loren & Vecie Bricker; one uncle, James Sears and one cousin, Mark Sears.

Bro. Jeff Monroney will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County.
