Gerald A. Perkins, 96, Capac, Michigan and formerly of Oblong, Illinois passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Born in Oblong, on May 12, 1918, he was the son of Palmer Perkins and Ora (Wall) Perkins. He was employed with Sun Oil Company, Production Unit, for 42 years, working almost equal time in the Crossville, Illinois and Gladwin, Michigan areas before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Geneve (Baker); his second wife, Henrietta (Voight); his third wife, Carol (Hawk); a son Ronald Perkins; one brother, Earl Perkins and one infant sister.

Gerald is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert & Ann Perkins, Roger & Rebecca Perkins and Michael & Debi Perkins; four grandchildren, Todd Perkins, Robert P. & Kelle Perkins, Lindsay & Kannan Ramanathan and Lance Perkins; four great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Alicia, Janie & Jazmine; one one brother, Raymond "Kleon" Perkins.

Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
