Robert Lee Miller, 40, Urbana, IL and formerly of Newton and Oblong, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at his residence. When Robert was 17 he was involved in a serious motorcycle accident that impaired his health for the rest of his life. Born in Robinson, Illinois on August 5, 1969, he was the son of Lloyd L. Miller and Patsy (Russell) Miller. As a child he grew up in Yale, IL and attended local schools. He later moved to Fort Myers, FL to reside with his mother. He attended Fort Myers Christian School. He was a self-employed medical courier. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Oblong. Robert loved to fish, hunt and was especially fond of hunting mushrooms. Music played a large part in his life as he enjoyed playing the guitar and composing original songs.

He is survived my his mother, Pat & Leroy Rogers Sr., Punta Gorda, FL; three step-brothers, Leroy & Robin Rogers Jr., Daniel & Tehani Rogers and Mark Rogers; two step-sisters, Kathy & Jeff Beedle and Debbie & Russell Johnson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father; paternal grandmother, Nellie Miller; and maternal grandparents, Elder Hugh J. & Goldie Russell.

Bro. Don Russell will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
