Maylo Dalrymple, 81, Oblong, IL passed away at 8:15 a.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009, at her son's residence. Born in Wheeler, IL on June 5, 1928, she was the daughter of Jacob A. Koontz and Flora (Penner). She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Charleston, IL. She was an elementary school teacher in Jasper County and Oblong Grade School where she retired from in 1976. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Oblong; Crawford County Retired Teachers; Illinois Education Association; Oak Glen Golf Course and Friends of the Library.

On Sept. 18, 1954, she married Miner Dalrymple, who preceded her in death on Augugust 18, 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, George Koontz.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Rob & Lisa Dalrymple and one sister-in-law, Irma Koontz.

Rev. Tom Brewer will officiate the funeral service. Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
