Eugene "Gene" Bradbury, 89, Oblong, IL passed away at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Cotillion Ridge, Robinson, IL. Born in the White Oak Community, rural Oblong, IL on January 3, 1920, he was the son of Carl Stanley Bradbury and Flora Miller. He was a former christian pastor, farmer, school bus driver and cemetery caretaker at several area cemeteries. He was a member of the White Oak Christian Church, rural Oblong. His hobbies included riding horses and events at the Western Saddle Club.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Monte D. & Sherry Bradbury; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna & Glen Rosborough, Sue Walker and Roberta "Bert" & Richard Ridlen; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Holt; four nephews, Tim, Rick, Kenny & Larry Holt; several step-children and step-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Cecil, Opal and an infant brother; two sons-in-law, Richard Smith and Dan Walker; one nephew, Stanley "Sonny" Bradbury.

Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
