Lillie P. Shook, 70, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 12:26 p.m. Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. Born January 21, 1938, in Crawford County, she was the daughter of Charles Utley Sr. and Ruth (Christine) Utley. She worked for the Ettlebrick Shoe Factory in Robinson for many years until it closed. She enjoyed gardening and canning.

On January 26, 1965, she married Roger D. Shook, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, John Newman, Jim & Kimberly Newman and Donald & Renee Shook; one daughter, Teresa Reynolds; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Charles & Sue Utley Jr. and Bill Utley; two sisters and brother-in-law, Rose Wallace and Ruth Ann & Charles Bergbower; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Earl "Snooky" Newman.
