Loran Dale "L. D." Robinson, 84, Nixa, Missouri and formerly of Willow Hill, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008. Born in Willow Hill on November 25, 1923, he was the son of LaVern "Vern" Robinson and Letha (Hargis) Robinson. He was a graduate of Willow Hill High School ~ Class of 1941. He served with the U. S. Army during W. W. II. He was employed by the State of Wisconsin as a Supervisor for the State Hospital Central Colony in Madison, Wisconsin retiring in 1983. L.D. enjoyed curling; playing golf; square dancing and deer hunting. He enjoyed his retirement traveling the United States before settling in Mission Hills, Texas. He spent his final years in Nixa, Missouri.

November 1950, he married Katherine "Katie" Budd, who survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve & Nancy Robinson, Jeff & Kathi Robinson and Marc Robinson; two daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda & William Hart and Terri Jauregui; eight grandchildren, Stacy Gunn, Gretchen Hart, Meggin Hart, Jeremy Robinson, Nick Robinson, Vaughan Robinson, Alec Robinson and Aaron Jauregui; four great-grandchildren, Jude Hart; Nolan Gunn; Joah Robinson and Seral Gunn; one sister, Madeline Calvert; one niece, Judy Greer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother Paul Robinson; and two sisters, Donna Richardson & Anice Robinson.

Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
