Anna Lee Pool 93, Oblong, Illinois, died Thursday June 19, 2008 at her residence in Oblong. She was born in Berryville, Illinois on October 6, 1914 and was the daughter of Henry Lathrop and Flossie Jane (Bauman) Lathrop. On December 14, 1935, Anna Lee married Clark Noble Pool who preceded her in death on December 24, 1969. Anna was a House Mother for over 25 years at Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, Illinois and was known as "Mom Pool" to all the students whom she was a House Mother for. Anna previously lived in St. Francisville, IL from 1939 – 1969, in Lincoln, Illinois for over 25 years and moved to Oblong in December 1995. She was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church, previously taught Sunday School; member of the Priscilla Circle at the church; made blankets for the Linus Club; member of Crawford County Home Extension; 2008 Oblong Chamber Whole Hart Award : Honor Garden named after he at Timothy Hall at Lincoln Christian College. Anna's hobbies included sewing, playing cards, Avid Sports Fan;
Loved to watch her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren in their sporting events; and loved to listen to Gene Autry sing.

Anna Lee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Larry Joe & Linda Pool; daughter Peggy Ann Pool; son-in-law Walter Jones; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her parents; husband; one daughter Bonnie Jones: one infant son; and three brothers Charles, Francis and Robert Lathrop preceded her in death.

Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery near Berryville, Illinois in Richland County.
