Kathleen A. "Kathy" Newbold, 66, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 11:25 p.m. Monday, December 15, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Born September 1, 1942, in Richland County, Illinois, she was the daughter of Otto Boehl and Ruth Brothers Boehl. Kathy was a graduate of Oblong High School ~ Class of 1961. She was a secretary for the Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas, Nevada, retiring after 30 years in 1995. She attended both St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Robinson and St. Mary's Catholic Church, Ste. Marie. She was associated with several horse clubs through the years and she enjoyed showing cars and riding motorcycles.

On December 16, 1961, she married Harold W. "Butch" Newbold, who survives. Also surviving is one brother, Vincent Boehl and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Oscar & Don Boehl.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
