Barbara R. "Barb" Myers, 66, Oblong, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2008, at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Indiana. Born on March 12, 1942, in Olney, Illinois she was the daughter of George B. Dean and Dorothy E. (Nichols) Dean. In 1958 she married Richard Myers. She was in housekeeping at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Olney, IL and on weekends at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Robinson, IL for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Olney. Barb enjoyed being with her family especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Dean; one son and daughter-in-law, Steve & Paula Myers; two daughters, Peggy Price and Gina Smith; six grandchildren, Tyler & Emily Price, Colin & Austin Smith and Lewis & Harlei Myers; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tim & Rhonda Dean and Todd & Dallas Dean; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janice & Dan Fuschak and Sandy Dean; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father.

Burial will be in Haven Hill Memorial Gardens, Olney, Illinois.
