Shirley Ann Matheney, 65, Palestine, Illinois passed away at 10:24 a.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008, near Hutsonville, Illinois. Born on October 18, 1942, in Palestine, she was the daughter of Carl Eugene Sanders and Marie Lillian (Harrington) Sanders. She graduated from Casey High School - Class of 1960. She was a homemaker. She was a Charter Member of the Robinson Eagle Lodge and also a Charter Member of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549 Ladies Auxiliary.

On March 25, 1961, she married Kenny Lee Matheney, who survives. Also surviving is one son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Cindy Matheney; two step-granddaughters, Mellissa Tracy and Christina Mickey; four step-great-grandchildren, Devon Worchester, CasCinda Sheridan, Cierra Staley and Madison Staley; one sister, Sharon Banderman; half-sister, Norma & David McSchooler; several nieces & nephews and great-nieces & nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers James Allen & Larry Lee Sanders; one nephew and one great-niece.

Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
