"Lonnie" Dart 87, Oblong, Illinois, died Saturday February 9, 2008 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson, Illinois. Alonzo was born in Oblong on January 25, 1921 and was the son of Kibbie And Artie (Smith) Dart. On October 5, 1940 he married Norma E. Curtis in Hutsonville, Illinois. He retired as a shipping clerk after working 35 years at Heath's in Robinson, Illinois. Alonzo was a member of the Oblong Wesleyan Church, Oblong Horse Shoe Club and he was a life long resident of Oblong. Alonzo is survived by his wife Norma; three sons and daughters-in-laws - Gary and Sharon Dart, Darrell & Roena Dart and Paul Frank & Debbie Dart; one daughter and son-in-law - Ann & John Nethery; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great- grandchildren; five great- great- grandchildren; one sister-in-law Freda Dart and several nieces and nephews. Alonzo is preceded in death by his parents; four sisters - Edith Chapman, Josephine Chapman, Garnet Andrews and Marie Young; two brothers - Hubert Dart and an infant brother. Burial will be in Wilkin Cemetery, rural Oblong. |
