Edith E. Clark, 99, Oblong, Illinois passed away at 9:01 a.m. EDT, Friday, April 11, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, Indiana. Born in Crawford County, Illinois on December 21, 1908, she was the daughter of Edward Francis and Charlotte R. (Hanson) Francis. At one time she worked for Harmon's Drug Store in Oblong and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Oblong; member of the original Oblong Ruritan Club; Oblong Gem Club; Friendly Neighbors group; and the Jasper County Senior Citizen's Painting Club. Her hobbies included: crocheting; quilting; gardening and flowers.

On December 24, 1929, she married Charles R. "Charlie" Clark, who preceded her in death on October 14, 2005. She is also preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; one brother, Harold Francis and one sister, Ora Dowell.

Edith is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert "Bob" & Mary Lou Clark; two grandchildren, Steve Clark and Donna Eubank; four great-grandsons, Kelby & Kenin Eubank and Daniel & Dustin Clark; one nephew, Kenneth Clark; and one niece, Linda Boehl.

Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
