Stanley A. "Buck" Yager, 81, The Bend, rural Jasper County, Illinois, passed away at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2007 at his residence. Born in Jasper County, Illinois (The Bend) on September 30, 1925, he was the son of Ernest Yager and Leo Merle (Ziegler) Yager. He served in the U.S. Army during W. W. II with the 100th Infantry Division Company C. He owned and operated Stan's 66 Service in Newton for 20 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the V. F. W. and Ste. Marie American Legion Post #932. His hobbies included vegetable & flower gardening.

He is survived by two sons, Gordan Yager and Garth Dustin "Dusty" Yager; four daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian & Edd Thompson, Dawn & Buddy Pollack, Dee Ann Yager and Valerie & Calvin James; several grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Darrell & Hattie Yager; one sister, Betty Taylor; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog "Spunky"

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Greg Yager; one infant daughter, Mona Lou and one grandson.

Burial will be in the Yager Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
