Edith P. Shea, 66, Oblong, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Sunday March 4, 2007, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. Born in Harlin, Kentucky, on March 30, 1940, she was the daughter of Charles Swain and Chloe (Mitchell) Swain. Edith was a CNA with the Home Health Care for the elderly and also a homemaker. She was a member of the Allegheny Wesleyan Methodist Church, Oblong. Her hobbies included cooking, baking, quilting, crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.

On September 9, 1958, she married Richard A. Shea, who preceded her in death on January 27, 2000. Also preceding her in death were her parents, five brothers, Bobby, Charles, Don, Jimmy & Howard Swain; two infant sisters, Judy Gail and Delores Swain.

Survivors include two sons and daugher-in-law, Richard Lee Shea & Jeana Britton and David & Kathy Shea; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie & Cecil "Bud" Vaughn, Lana & Jim Lewis and Kim & Brad Musgrave; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William "Doc" & Debbie Swain and John Henry & Donna Swain; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda & Gene Staley, Opal & Larry Spencer, Margie & Mike Stout, Rita & Mark Bean and Billie Forsythe & Dennis Cahoy; several nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Marilyn (Jean) Sharpe.

Burial is in White Oak Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
