Thelma P. Ikemire, 95, Willow Hill, Illinois passed away at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong. Born on April 17, 1912, in Martin Twp., Crawford County, she was the daughter of Cecil Kirts and Junia (Davis) Kirts. She was a homemaker.Thelma was a member of the Pleasant Valley Congregational Christian Church, rural Jasper County until it closed then attended Seed Chapel United Methodist Church, rural Oblong. Thelma enjoyed vegetable and flowering gardening, embroidering, fishing and traveling.

On December 21, 1932, she married Chloris L. Ikemire, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Russell and David Kirts and her twin sister, Velma Aten.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn & Grover Michl and Sandra & Dennis Wiech; three grandchildren, Jeff & Cheryl Michl, Kim & Jim Barlow and Katrina & John Salzone; seven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Harris, Evelyn Lee and Wanda Angerer; one brother-in-law, Noel Ikemire; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial is in Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
