Blanche B. Griffy, 91, Kankakee, Illinois formerly of Jasper County, Illinois passed away Thursday June 14, 2007 at the Miller Health Care Center, Kankakee, Illinois. She was born July 21, 1915 and was the daughter of Frank Bailey and Alice (Meek) Bailey. On January 1, 1938 she married Cecil Griffy in Hutsonville, Illinois. Cecil died April 14, 1981. Blanche was a Homemaker, member of First Presbyterian Church, Kankakee, Illinois as well as a member of the Kankakee Women's Club and the American Cancer Society.

 

Blanche is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Kay Griffy and Carol & Steven Ducey and her twin sister Shirley Bailey.

 

Her parents, husband, three brothers – John, James and Chester Bailey and three sisters – Edna Walker, Laurel Harrison and Vera Crampton preceded her in death.

 

Burial will be in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
