Harold E. Eubank, 82, Willow Hill, Illinois, passed away at 1:55 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007, at the Danville VA Hosptial, Danville, Illinois. Born September 6, 1924, in Willow Hill, he was the son of Ernest Eubank and Stella Mae (Hill) Eubank. He was a farmer. Harold served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during W. W. II where he was a former P.O.W. He was a member of the Willow Hill Community Club; Kickapoo Chapter of ex - P.O.W.'s; and the National Chapter for ex - P.O.W.'s. Harold's hobbies included storytelling, coon hunting, fishing and watching his grandsons show cattle.

On July 1, 1952, he married Velda Frances Harshman, who survives. Also surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Donna Eubank; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen & John Cross; six grandchildren, Kelby & Kenin Eubank and Willie, Bryan, Maggie and Anna Cross; two brothers and sister-in-law, Leroy Eubank and Bob & Joyce Neilson; one sister, Theora Ireland; and several nieces and nephews.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Naomi Gifford.

Burial is in Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County, Illinois.
