Richard W. Catt, 57, rural Robinson, died Sunday January 28, 2007, at his residence of unknown causes. The death is under investigation by the Crawford County Coroner' s Office. Born on November 6, 1949, in Pekin, Illinois, he was the son of Edward L. Catt and Frances E. (Morrison) Catt. Richard was employed with the Painters Union Local #197, Terre Haute, Indiana and most recently he was an over the road truck driver for Midwest Transit, Robinson, Illinois. He served in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Plymouth Congregational Church, Robinson, Illinois; Flat Rock American Legion Post #132; Palestine Eagle Lodge; and the Crawford County A.B.A.T.E. Club. His hobbies included restoring his 1946 Dodge pickup (which took most of his time). He loved riding his Harley and he was a huge Nascar fan.

Richard is survived by his parents, Ed & Jean (Sprague) Catt; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenny & Pam Catt and Roger & Nancy Catt; one sister and brother-in-law, Lisa & Rick Tarpley; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances E. Catt.

Burial is in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
