Raymond Musgrave, 95, Oblong, Illinois died about 8:25 p.m. Wednesday August 30, 2006 at the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Born September 9, 1910 in Kansas, he was the son of John Musgrave and Ethel (Chapman) Musgrave. He was a member of the White Oak Christian Church, rural Oblong. Over the years Raymond has been involved in many organizations and activities. He served as a 4-H leader for several years; chairman for the County 4-H Committee; Farm Bureau Board many years; Service Company Board; Oblong School District Board, where he was served as President when they built the new addition on the High School; he managed Yale Farm Equipment for several years. He operated a dairy farm for many years, milking around 100 cows twice a day. He has always had a love for horses, therefore there's been horses on their farm for 60 years.

On July 20, 1931, he married Pauline W. Kirk, who preceded him in death on August 15, 2001. Also preceding him in death were his parents, two sons, Darrell and Doyt; one daughter, Betty Musgrave; one brother, Perry Musgrave; three sisters, Mildred Purcell, Lana Newbold and one infant sister.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence "Buck" & Carolee Musgrave; a daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and John Meese; two foster sons and spouse, Charles and Virginia Ammons and Jim Ammons; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Lola and George Piersall; a sister-in-law, Mary Imogene Arthur; special friend, Jean Huddleston and several nieces and nephews.

Burial is in the White Oak Cemetery, rural Oblong, Illinois.
