may be mailed to the Funeral Home. Howard Gillaspie, 55, rural Willow Hill, died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at Burgin Manor, Olney. Born July 10, 1951 in Robinson, he was the son of Robert Gillaspie and Gladys (McCoy) Gillaspie. Howard was a member of Bethany Christian Church, rural Willow Hill. He lived at Hickory Estates in Sumner, Illinois for several years where he worked at Crawford / Lawrence Workshop for Exceptional Citizens. He was also active in Special Olympics. He enjoyed his family, friends, music, shooting hoops, bowling, fishing, playing checkers, dancing and cheering for the Cubs. Howard has spent the last three years in the Aspen Wing of Burgin Manor in Olney. Survivors include three sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha & Tim Holt, Gladys Rosalie French and friend Don Colwell and Susan & Mel Allison; several neices and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Larry Joe - 1946 and one brother-in-law, William French - 1992. Burial is in Mound Cemetery, Rural Willow Hill, Illinois. |
