Rev. Nolan M. Eubank, 84, Stoy, Illinois formerly of Oblong, Illinois died Thursday January 19, 2006 at his residence. Nolan was born in rural Willow Hill, IL on August 10, 1921 and was the son of Ray and Loretta (Michaels) Eubank. On May 13, 1941 Nolan married Winifred Rosemary Fear and she preceded him in death on February 26, 2003. Nolan served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the appliance business until 1975. Later he preached throughout the former Olney District for the United Methodist Church. Nolan was appointed to the Landes United Methodist Church in 1975, appointed to Cisne United Methodist Church full time in 1977, Palestine United Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church in 1984 retiring in 1986 then served Mound United Methodist Church for 12 years. Nolan was a member of the Illinois Great Rivers Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and the Oblong American Legion Post #219. Nolan's church home was the Mound Community Church but was a member of the Oblong Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Nolan is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Nolan and Charlotte Marie Eubank; one daughter and son-in-law, Zelma Sue and Alan Woods; five grandchildren, Tiffany & Robert Boldrey, Scott & Heather Eubank, Melissa & Clint Ingram, Stacy Yockey, Chris Yockey & fiance' Trisha Rogers; three step-grandchildren, Brian Yockey, Shawnee Woods and Lindsey Cooper; seven great-grandchildren, Chelsea & Nick Boldrey, Kylei Jones, Gage Postlewait, Trenton & Madison Yockey and Dylan Ingram; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Gene & Vera Eubank; one sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Mae & Perry Ping; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Russell & Zelma Mikeworth; several nieces & nephews and a special friend Virginia Boyd. Nolan was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, Rural Jasper County, Illinois.
