Ruth G. Helvie, 92, Montgomery, Illinois formerly of Robinson, Illinois died Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at the Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, Illinois. Ruth was born on December 3, 1912 in Sullivan, Indiana and was the daughter of Orville and Pearl Grubaugh. On July 4, 1939 Ruth married Thomas D. "Mose" Helvie and he preceded her in death in September 1974. Ruth owned and operated Helvie's Cleaners in Robinson, Illinois and was the Information Director at the Robinson Community Center. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Robinson, E. M. Coulter American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary and the former Robinson Moose Lodge.

Surviving Ruth is one son and daughter-in-law, Dick & Diana Helvie; two grandsons, Dustin & Sarah Helvie and Damon Helvie; one great-grandson, Xander Helvie.

Ruth is preceded by her parents; husband; one sister, Jan Scogin and one brother, Jack Grubaugh.

Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery, Robinson, Illinois.
