Michael E. Cox, 55, Oblong, Illinois passed away Wednesday November 2, 2005 at his residence in Oblong, IL. Mike was born in LaPorte, Indiana on March 6, 1950 and was the son of Edward E. "Tuny" Cox & Iola "Jean" (Dennis) Cox. Mike served as an Administrative Specialist in the U. S. Air Force. He attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, IN with studies in Liberal Arts, United Electronics Institute, North Kansas City, MO - Electronics Technology, Missouri Institute of Technology, Kansas City, MO - Electonic Engineering Technology and Wabash Valley Collge, Mt. Carmel, IL - Industrial Electronics. Mike was in the electronic and shipping industry for twenty-two years. Mike was a free spirit who loved life and had many dear friends. He enjoyed sports, art, history and nature. Most of all he loved his daughters.

Mike is survived by three daughters, Therese "Michele" Cox, Karrie Renee Cox and Heidi Fox; four grandchildren, Angelica Renee Johnson, Haleigh Melanie Brooke Johnson, Bailey Fox and Jerad Fox; two aunts, Adelyne Claybaugh and Mary Hirter; several uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews; many special loved friends including Scott Baud, Celeste Harris, Mel Woods, Billy Johnson, Dave & Cindy Jones, Terri McAtee and Robert & Norma McAtee. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
