Eva L. German, 88, Oblong, Illinois passed away Wednesday February 23, 2005 at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Eva was born on October 29, 1916 in Hidalgo, Illinois and was the daughter of George and Elva (Bruner) Coad. She married Albert E. German, August of 1939 and he preceded her in death on January 25, 1991. Eva was a homemaker and a member of Mound Community Church, Rural Jasper County, Illinois. Her hobbies included cooking and collecting cookbooks.

Eva is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jean & Darla German and Jerry & Judy German; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joann & Phillip Mendenhall and Jill & Larry Tucker; five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, Jay & Tracy German, Jon German, Jeff & Tami Mendenhall, Greg & Pam Mendenhall and Ashley Tucker; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Robert Coad and Dale & Jeri Coad; several nieces and nephews.

Eva is preceded by her parents, husband and sister-in-law: Nita Coad.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
